Our Mandate:
The Lake Country Open Air Performance Society (LCOAPS) is a not-for-profit initiative created and organized by volunteers in the community of Lake Country. The Society was co-founded by Amber Hugo and Grant Lawrence in 2007 and has a Board of Directors overseeing operations. The Lake Country Open Air Performance Society's mandate is to provide free outdoor music concerts for the residents of and visitors to Lake County during the months of July and August every year. Concerts are held throughout the District of Lake Country at community and regional parks. Each concert features talented local musicians in a variety of genres, as well as artisans and vendors. Evening performances run during day light hours and are all ages shows.
Goals of the Society:
The Lake Country Open Air Performance Society is a not-for-profit initiative with the following goals:
- Enhance the quality of life for residents of and visitors to Lake Country;
- Offer musical performances that appeal to the widest audience base to thus encourage the Community to come out and meet their neighbours and enjoy the artists on the stage;
- Provide a venue for local performers to entertain and increase their audience base;
- Provide local entertainers with an opportunity to network and interact with ‘headliner’ out of town performers when applicable;
- Reinvest into the Community of Lake Country by offering a space for suppliers and artists from within Lake Country to display their works; and
- Encourage tourists to visit Lake Country for a positive impact on our local economy.

- What do we get for free? Use of the parks and facilities (washrooms, parking, play areas, garbage collection and landscaping maintenance). water for the performers and volunteers and door prizes.
